Everything but the Kitchen Sink?
Yes! The website version.
It’s easier to say what isn’t included so let’s start there.
We don’t build membership sites, or ecommerce store sites.
So who is best suited for success with Kitchen Sink Web Design?
Small business owners that are primarily service based make the best clients. We specialize in providing graphics, copy and all the technical aspects as part of our team-based approach to building a site that is 100% you.
33 Days? Yes. Really!
There’s a method to the madness as the saying goes. We’ve worked on websites that took longer than having a baby! Yes, they take time and energy but we firmly believe that working on a project like this with an intense time of focus yields the best results.
Why? In addition to a killer website, our clients gain clarity. And focus. And confidence. Putting your work out there takes courage and we know that when you give yourself a deadline and apply energy and attention the results are worth the process.
This isn’t the standard in the web building industry. And we think it should be.
Typically, you have a web programmer who may or may not tinker with design. The designer may also fancy themselves as a web person too and since both people think they know best, there’s friction. Not necessarily intentional but each one comes away with a different vision for your site.
Then you have to start translating between the two to get anything done. Except that’s what you hired them to do isn’t it?
Once (or if) you get past this hurdle, you’ll end up with a site that looks nice and be completely done. Right?
Not necessarily. Unless your web programmer or the designer will provides copy, input on strategy, how to connect with your audience or how to make sure your site helps you sell anything, you’re missing out on major areas of your online business. Not to mention that it is next to impossible to find such a being! Because that’s not their job.
Add another person with additional vision of what you should do…ay yi yi!
It’s enough to make you crazy. And we’ve seen it stop people in their tracks. Overwhelm and indecision take over. It’s no wonder. Which is why the site never gets done or it’s finished in a way that doesn’t truly represent the vision you had in the beginning.
At Kitchen Sink Web Design, You Get a Team. That actually works together.
Our process (and why we can get things done quickly) is because we all share the same goal. Your goal. For a site that attracts clients and turns them into raving fans.
We start with a discovery call so we can both determine if we’re a good fit to work on your project. Once you’ve paid your deposit, you’ll get the getting started guide. You’ll provide us with details like your business name, your vision for the site and what you want us to build. We’ll also schedule a team call so you get to know us and we get to completely understand what you want your site to do.
Once you return the document, the 33 day clock begins. We’ll check in at least every 5 days with updates and any questions. You’ll be in the loop every step so revisions and changes will be easy to manage and execute.
You’ll have a single point of contact once we start so you don’t have to stress over who to send what or how to clarify etc. We’ll make sure that the entire team receives your communications.
